New feller here.
I'm a front desk attendant, night shift, at an apartment building.  I love watching my MST3K DVD's at work, but want to watch Rifftrax.  A few questions before I spend any moolah:

-Can I run an MP3 player and my DVD program at the same time and hear both?  (I mean both on my laptop at the same time)
-I see there is a program that will automatically sync up the MP3 and the DVD - this would be great for me - but it's currently unsupported, and they've been saying there will be an update for a while now.  Is there a list somewhere of what trax I could still use with the program?

I've had no problems hearing both tracks on my laptop. I'm using iTunes and Windows Media Player.

As long as you have two separate programs running, one for the DVD, one for the MP3, you should be fine.

I know they released a player that works with WMP, but I've never really had a lot of luck with it. It always seems to make the movie and the riffs way too quiet.

I use my Mac and use the Mac's native DVD player for the DVD and iTunes to play the Rifftrax. Requires manual syncing, yes, but it works fine.

Should work fine; I've watched things on my computer with winamp for the mp3 and PowerDVD to play the DVD, manual syncing (never tried their syncing program).
